Not All Research Materials Are Created Equal
The research peptide market is filled with inconsistent quality standards, vague sourcing claims, limited testing documentation, and vendors who ask researchers to take their claims at face value. OROS Research was created to offer a more transparent alternative.
Our products are supported by batch-specific Certificates of Analysis, independent U.S.-based testing, domestic formulation and finishing, controlled production processes, and clear research-use-only standards. We believe researchers should have access to the documentation needed to evaluate the testing reported for a specific lot before placing an order—not only after requesting it.
OROS finished products are formulated, filled, and lyophilized in California rather than imported as completed vials and simply relabeled. This gives us greater visibility into production, more control over finished-product specifications, and a more dependable domestic supply chain.

OROS Research works with a California-based partner facility where finished products undergo key domestic production steps including formulation, controlled filling, lyophilization, vialing, and sealing.
This model provides greater production visibility, stronger control over finished-product specifications, and a more dependable alternative to vendors that import completed vials and relabel them domestically.
Controlled California Production
Formulation and finishing take place in a California ISO 5 laminar-flow facility using cGMP-aligned processes. The controlled environment is designed to support contamination control, precise handling, and consistent production practices for research-use-only materials.
From raw-material review through formulation, lyophilization, vialing, and final release, the process is structured to support traceability, repeatability, and reliable finished-batch evaluation.
Independent Third-Party Testing
Current OROS batches undergo independent third-party testing before release. The testing documented for each lot is identified on its product page and corresponding entry in our COA Library so researchers can evaluate the evidence for the specific batch they are purchasing.
Our current nine-point program covers identity, purity, net content, multi-vial variance or conformity, bacterial endotoxins, heavy metals, microbial quality, residual solvents, and adulterant screening. The exact methods and results may vary by product format and batch and are documented in the applicable laboratory records.
Independent laboratories may hold ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation for defined scopes. Accreditation applies only to the methods and activities listed within each laboratory's accredited scope and should not be interpreted as blanket accreditation of every test or product.
Nine-Point Batch Testing
Purity alone does not provide a complete picture of finished-batch quality. Our current program evaluates multiple analytical and quality attributes relevant to serious laboratory research:
- Identity Testing – Confirms the material matches the intended compound.
- Purity Analysis – Verifies purity levels and helps identify potential impurities.
- Net Content Verification – Confirms vial contents align with labeled specifications.
- Multi-Vial Variance / Conformity – Evaluates consistency across multiple tested vials within a batch.
- Bacterial Endotoxin Testing – Measures bacterial endotoxin under the documented laboratory method.
- Heavy Metal Analysis – Evaluates for the presence of regulated heavy metal contaminants.
- Microbial Quality Testing – Provides documented microbial-quality information under the applicable laboratory methods.
- Residual Solvent Analysis – Evaluates for applicable residual solvents that may remain from manufacturing or processing.
- Adulterant Screening – Screens for specified undeclared adulterants under the documented method.
The testing performed for a specific batch is documented on its corresponding Certificate of Analysis or accompanying laboratory report. Current program descriptions should not be applied retroactively to historical lots unless the batch-specific documentation lists those tests.
Microbial-quality and bacterial-endotoxin testing provide important but distinct information. They do not establish sterility and are not substitutes for USP <71> sterility testing.
Transparency Before Purchase
We believe quality claims should be supported by documentation. Batch-specific COAs and available laboratory records can be reviewed through individual product pages and our COA Library.
Researchers should not have to rely on vague statements, screenshots, or unverifiable testing claims when evaluating research materials.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do the products arrive?
Lyophilized research peptides are supplied in sealed vials and shipped in secure protective packaging. Their dry, sealed format is designed to tolerate ordinary domestic transit conditions without cold packs.
OROS Research does not ship lyophilized research peptides with cold packs because cold packs can introduce unnecessary condensation, moisture exposure, and temperature cycling inside the package during transit. Since lyophilized materials are designed for stability in a dry, sealed state, protective packaging and prompt carrier delivery are typically preferred over unnecessary cold packing.
Our packaging is designed to help protect products from impact, direct light exposure, and ordinary environmental conditions encountered during carrier transit.
Where can I find COAs?
Certificates of Analysis and available laboratory reports can be reviewed on individual product pages and through our COA Library. To locate the records associated with an order, enter OR followed by the order number. The documentation identifies the testing reported for that specific lot.

What does “formulated and finished in California” mean?
Finished OROS products undergo formulation, controlled filling, lyophilization, vialing, and sealing through our California-based production partner. They are not imported as completed finished vials and simply relabeled in the United States.
Some active ingredients and specialty research materials may originate outside the United States when appropriate domestic sources are unavailable. Our domestic claim refers specifically to the formulation and finishing of the product—not to a claim that every raw material is of U.S. origin.
Are OROS products intended for human use?
No. OROS Research products are sold strictly for in-vitro laboratory research use only. They are not intended for human or animal consumption, clinical use, diagnostic use, therapeutic use, compounding, or resale as finished drug products.
How should products be stored?
Store lyophilized research materials in a cool, dry environment away from direct light, heat, and humidity, and follow any product-specific storage information provided on the label or product page. Longer-term storage requirements may vary by material.
Once reconstituted, materials should be handled according to your laboratory’s internal research protocols and storage standards.
What is your return or exchange policy?
Due to the sensitive nature of our products, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges.
If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, please contact us within seven days of delivery so our team can review the issue and determine the appropriate next steps.
How long does shipping take?
Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days, with many orders shipping the same business day when payment is completed before 3:00 PM Eastern Time.
We ship Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, carrier disruptions, severe weather, or other circumstances outside of our control. Domestic shipping options may include UPS Ground, UPS 2-Day, and overnight delivery depending on destination and availability.
Orders over $150 qualify for free UPS 2-Day shipping. Selecting an express shipping option affects carrier transit time after shipment and does not guarantee expedited order processing.
Do you offer international shipping?
At this time, OROS Research only ships within the United States. We do not support international orders or freight forwarding services.
Can I cancel or modify my order?
Orders cannot be modified or canceled once they have been paid for and entered processing. Please review your shipping address, product selection, and order details carefully before finalizing your purchase.
