Website & Legal Disclaimer

Last updated: October 26, 2026

1. Agreement and Scope

OROS, Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the website located at https://orosresearch.com (the “Site”) for general informational and educational purposes.

This disclaimer should be read together with our Terms & Conditions, Refund & Return Policy, and Privacy Policy.

By accepting these policies and purchasing from the Site, you acknowledge the intended uses, limitations, and responsibilities described below.

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes rights, remedies, or obligations that cannot lawfully be waived.

2. Informational Use Only

This website is designed to offer informative content; however, it should not be considered a substitute for advice from your personal legal, medical, or scientific advisors. The information presented is expressly not intended for the diagnosis, treatment, prevention, or cure of any medical condition or disease.

All articles and product information provided on this Site are for educational and informational purposes only. The content and products available on this Site are intended solely to support in-vitro laboratory research and are not for human or animal consumption of any kind.

References to scientific publications, biological mechanisms, or research findings do not constitute recommendations for personal use or establish that an OROS product will produce a particular experimental result.

3. Product Use & FDA Disclaimer

OROS, Inc. is a U.S.-based distributor of research-use-only (“RUO”) peptides, amino acid derivatives, and related laboratory research materials.

All products listed on orosresearch.com are sold strictly for laboratory research purposes. These products are not drugs or medicines and have not been evaluated or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) for any diagnostic, therapeutic, or medicinal use.

None of the products available on this Site are intended to diagnose, treat, mitigate, prevent, or cure any disease or medical condition.

We do not endorse, encourage, or permit the use of our products for personal use. We do not provide dosing recommendations, administration instructions, personal-use protocols, or individualized medical advice. Inquiries seeking such guidance will not be answered.

These restrictions apply to all products, including reconstitution solutions and other supporting research materials. Product names, packaging formats, concentrations, or descriptions do not authorize human or animal use.

4. Purchaser Eligibility

By agreeing to our Terms & Conditions and purchasing from the Site, you confirm that you have reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction, have the legal capacity to enter into the transaction, and meet one of the following eligibility requirements:

  • You are an independent professional research analyst purchasing for legitimate laboratory research; or
  • You represent an organization involved in research and development and are authorized to purchase on its behalf.

You further agree that you are aware of and in full compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws governing the purchase, possession, and use of research chemicals.

We may request information reasonably necessary to verify purchasing eligibility, payment authority, or intended use. We may decline orders or restrict access when the proposed use is inconsistent with our policies or applicable law.

5. Compliance, Labeling & Certification

OROS, Inc. complies with all applicable U.S. regulations governing the sale and distribution of Research-Use-Only (RUO) products. All materials offered through this website are sold exclusively for laboratory research purposes and are not intended for human or animal use of any kind.

To clarify, OROS Research supplies compounds strictly intended for laboratory research use only. Our products are not manufactured, labeled, or marketed for human or veterinary administration, and therefore are not subject to the labeling or serialization requirements established under FDA current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) regulations or those applicable to active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) or finished dosage forms.

Because of this regulatory distinction, research-use-only (RUO) materials are not required to bear lot numbers, manufacturing dates, expiration dates, or other batch-specific information directly on the vial or primary packaging. Instead, compliance and traceability are achieved through accompanying documentation and analytical testing data provided by OROS, Inc.

Customers are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations within their jurisdiction when purchasing, possessing, or using products supplied by OROS, Inc.

References to quality practices, manufacturing processes, equipment classifications, or facility standards should be interpreted according to the specific description and supporting documentation. A statement that processes are cGMP-aligned does not constitute a claim of independent cGMP certification.

An equipment manufacturer’s ISO rating should not be interpreted as independent qualification of the installed production environment under every operating condition.

6. Analytical Testing, COAs & Traceability

OROS provides analytical testing documentation through its COA Library and related product records.

Depending on the product, lot, and testing performed, available documentation may include:

  • A batch number, lot number, or internal reference identifier;
  • Identity, purity, assay, or net-content results;
  • Endotoxin, microbial, sterility, or other testing results where performed;
  • The testing laboratory’s name and relevant report dates; and
  • A report identifier or verification method, where offered by the laboratory.

The specific COA governs which tests were performed and which results were reported. Not every product or historical lot necessarily received the same testing panel.

COAs apply to the samples, lots, methods, and results identified in the applicable report. Testing of selected samples does not establish that every individual container was separately tested.

Characterization of a reference standard does not establish that the same characterization was performed on the submitted product sample. Purity results alone do not establish identity, quantity, sterility, or the absence of every possible contaminant.

Microbial enumeration, specified-microorganism testing, and bacterial endotoxin testing address different attributes and do not, by themselves, establish sterility. Do not infer sterility testing unless it is expressly reported in the applicable documentation.

Laboratory accreditation is limited to its documented scope. Independent testing does not constitute FDA approval or change a product’s research-use-only status.

Contact support@orosresearch.com if you need help identifying the documentation associated with a particular order or lot.

7. Manufacturing, Origin, Storage & Dates

Descriptions concerning formulation, manufacturing, filling, finishing, or origin apply to the products and activities identified in the relevant description and supporting documentation.

A statement about one production step does not establish the location or origin of every ingredient or manufacturing activity.

Manufacturing dates, testing dates, report dates, and date-of-sale ranges describe different events and should not be treated as interchangeable.

A COA issue date does not, by itself, establish a manufacturing date, expiration date, or validated shelf life.

Follow the storage information provided for the applicable product. General storage guidance should not be interpreted as a product-specific stability study or a validated period of suitability after opening, reconstitution, or other handling.

8. Payments & Authorization

We accept credit cards at checkout through the payment methods displayed on the Site. Depending on the methods offered for an order, payment may also be completed through a separate payment authorization form provided after order placement.

By submitting payment through either method, you confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method and authorize the disclosed order total, including applicable taxes and shipping charges.

When payment is successfully completed at checkout, a separate authorization form is not routinely required. Additional verification may be requested where reasonably necessary.

When a separate payment authorization form is required, the form and any necessary verification must be completed before the order is released for fulfillment.

If the required separate authorization is not completed within 24 hours of order placement, the unpaid order may be canceled and reserved inventory released. This deadline does not apply to orders successfully paid at checkout.

If you have already paid, contact support@orosresearch.com before submitting another payment for the same order.

9. All Sales Final — Returns, Exchanges & Refunds

Except as required by applicable law or expressly provided in our Refund & Return Policy, all sales are final once payment has been successfully processed and required authorization is complete.

We do not ordinarily permit discretionary cancellations, returns, exchanges, or refunds for change of mind, customer selection errors, or materials no longer needed.

You are responsible for reviewing product descriptions, specifications, available COAs, quantities, and shipping details before completing your purchase.

Due to concerns involving handling, storage, contamination, and chain of custody, products must not be returned without prior written authorization and instructions.

Our final-sale policy does not eliminate applicable remedies for incorrect, damaged, missing, materially misdescribed, or otherwise nonconforming products, verified duplicate charges or processing errors, or orders we cannot fulfill.

Approved refunds will ordinarily be issued to the original payment method unless another method is required by law or agreed with you.

10. Shipping Protection & Order Issues

All orders are covered by full order shipping insurance. In the event a shipment is confirmed as lost, damaged, or stolen in transit, OROS, Inc. will issue a replacement order at no additional cost to the customer, subject to verification.

Inspect your shipment promptly and report concerns to support@orosresearch.com. Include your order number, a description of the issue, and relevant photographs. Retain packaging and affected materials while the issue is reviewed.

Do not use products that appear damaged or compromised while the concern is being investigated.

We may review carrier records, photographs, delivery information, and other relevant evidence. Tracking information does not automatically resolve every delivery dispute or eliminate applicable rights.

Shipping protection does not replace any cancellation, refund, or other remedy required by applicable law.

Substantiated fraudulent claims may result in account restrictions or other lawful action. A good-faith report is not, by itself, fraudulent.

11. Payment Disputes & Chargebacks

Completing payment at checkout or through a separate authorization form constitutes authorization to process the disclosed transaction.

If you have a billing or fulfillment concern, we encourage you to contact support@orosresearch.com so we can investigate and attempt to resolve it. Contacting us is not a prerequisite to exercising lawful rights through your card issuer or payment provider.

OROS may provide relevant documentation to the issuing bank or payment processor, including order records, checkout authorization, separate payment authorization forms where applicable, customer communications, and shipping or delivery records.

We reserve the right to contest inaccurate or unsupported disputes and pursue lawful remedies for substantiated fraud.

A good-faith dispute is not, by itself, fraudulent or a breach of contract. Nothing in this disclaimer waives lawful rights concerning unauthorized transactions, billing errors, non-delivery, or other legally recognized disputes.

12. Indemnity Clause

The customer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless OROS, Inc., its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and suppliers from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, expenses, or costs, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from or related to the customer’s use, handling, storage, resale, or disposal of any products purchased from OROS, Inc.

This includes, but is not limited to, any violation of applicable laws or regulations, or any misuse or mishandling of the products.

This provision applies to the extent permitted by applicable law and does not require indemnification for liability that cannot lawfully be transferred, including liability attributable to OROS’s own misconduct where prohibited by law.

13. Intellectual Property & Liability

The listing of a material on this website does not grant a license or establish that a proposed use is free from patent or other intellectual property restrictions.

All products must be handled by qualified and trained professionals. By purchasing, the customer acknowledges the inherent risks and assumes responsibility for the safe handling and use of the products, agreeing to comply with all relevant regulations and safety guidelines.

The customer represents that they are knowledgeable about the products’ safety hazards and proper usage, and assumes all liability for any misuse.

In no event shall OROS, Inc. or its affiliates be liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products. The purchaser agrees to indemnify and hold OROS, Inc. harmless from all claims, expenses, and liabilities resulting from the handling, use, or resale of any product.

These provisions are subject to the applicable-law limitations in Section 17.

14. Use of Products & Safe-Harbor Protections

Our products are intended solely for research purposes. They are not for use in diagnostic, therapeutic, cosmetic, or other human or animal applications.

The buyer is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including determining whether requirements under the Toxic Substances Control Act (“TSCA”) apply to the buyer’s activities.

All products and services are for laboratory and research activities only, and customers must be qualified researchers.

Our peptides are legally distributed within safe harbor laws for research and are intended for that purpose only. Any customer inquiries related to violations of local laws should be directed to us immediately.

OROS reserves all applicable statutory exemptions, safe-harbor protections, and defenses available under governing law. The availability of any particular protection remains subject to its legal requirements and the relevant circumstances.

15. Specific Product Warnings

Peptides, including Melanotan 2 (MT-2), are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease and are not sold for cosmetic use.

OROS does not offer Melanotan 2 as a tanning product or authorize its use for tanning or human administration.

Inquiries seeking dosage, administration, personal-use, or individualized side-effect guidance will not be answered.

No product name, description, scientific reference, or third-party statement overrides the research-use restrictions in this disclaimer.

16. Legal Compliance & North Carolina Product Liability Disclaimer

OROS, Inc. is a chemical supplier, not a compounding pharmacy or chemical compounding facility as defined under Sections 503A and 503B of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.

All customers represent and warrant that they are fully aware of their local regulations regarding the importation, purchase, possession, and use of these research chemicals.

As a company headquartered in North Carolina, OROS, Inc. operates under the laws and jurisdiction of the State of North Carolina. In accordance with North Carolina General Statutes governing product liability, OROS, Inc. shall not be held liable for any injuries, damages, or losses resulting from the improper use, handling, or application of our products.

All products are sold for research use only, and it is the sole responsibility of the customer to ensure products are used in accordance with all applicable safety guidelines and intended research purposes.

Improper use of our products — including but not limited to use in humans or animals, consumption, compounding, or cosmetic application — constitutes a violation of our terms of sale and releases OROS, Inc. from any liability under North Carolina law.

By purchasing from OROS, Inc., you acknowledge and accept full responsibility for the use and outcome of the products and waive all rights to hold OROS, Inc. accountable for any misuse or misapplication.

The foregoing provisions apply to the fullest extent permitted by law and are subject to Section 17.

17. Warranty Disclaimers & Nonwaivable Rights

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WEBSITE CONTENT IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”

EXCEPT FOR EXPRESS PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS, SPECIFICATIONS, APPLICABLE WRITTEN WARRANTIES, AND WARRANTIES THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED, OROS DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT A PRODUCT WILL PRODUCE A PARTICULAR RESEARCH RESULT.

SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE LAW, OROS’S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM AN ORDER WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID FOR THE PRODUCTS GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

NOTHING IN THIS DISCLAIMER EXCLUDES OR LIMITS LIABILITY FOR FRAUD, WILLFUL MISCONDUCT, GROSS NEGLIGENCE, OR OTHER LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED.

NOTHING IN THIS DISCLAIMER OVERRIDES EXPRESS PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS OR ELIMINATES REFUNDS, REMEDIES, OR OTHER RIGHTS THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE WAIVED.

IF A PROVISION CONFLICTS WITH A NONWAIVABLE REQUIREMENT OF APPLICABLE LAW, THAT REQUIREMENT CONTROLS.

18. Governing Terms & Updates

Our Terms & Conditions govern dispute resolution and other contractual matters not specifically addressed here, subject to applicable law.

A separately negotiated written agreement signed by OROS controls over conflicting provisions to the extent stated in that agreement.

We may update this disclaimer to reflect changes in products, documentation, practices, or legal requirements. Changes will be identified by the “Last updated” date.

Updates do not retroactively eliminate rights associated with an existing purchase or dispute.
