What OROS Means
“OROS” is derived from the Greek word for “mountain” or “peak” — a symbol of ascension, clarity, discipline, and mastery. For us, it represents a commitment to operating at a higher standard in a category where quality claims are often difficult to verify.
Not All Research Materials Are Created Equal
The research peptide market is filled with inconsistent quality standards, vague sourcing claims, limited testing documentation, and vendors who ask researchers to take their claims at face value. OROS Research was created to offer a more transparent alternative.
Our products are supported by batch-specific Certificates of Analysis, independent U.S.-based testing, domestic formulation and finishing, controlled production processes, and clear research-use-only standards. We believe researchers should have access to the documentation needed to evaluate the testing reported for a specific lot before placing an order—not only after requesting it.
OROS finished products are formulated, filled, and lyophilized in California rather than imported as completed vials and simply relabeled. This gives us greater visibility into production, more control over finished-product specifications, and a more dependable domestic supply chain.

The testing performed for a specific batch is documented on its corresponding Certificate of Analysis or accompanying laboratory report. Current program descriptions should not be applied retroactively to historical lots unless the batch-specific documentation lists those tests.
The current program includes separate sterility testing (USP <71>), solubility testing (USP General Notices 5.30), and container closure integrity testing (USP <1207>). Microbial and endotoxin tests are distinct from sterility testing. Only tests and results documented for the specific lot apply; the current program does not establish results for historical lots.
